A "God" Inheritance
Scripture: Galatians 3:29
Memory Verses: Psalm 16:5; Genesis 12:1-3.
“And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.”
It is common to hear about inheritances from earthly parents. These can either be great — wealth, assets, businesses, a good name — or terrible — debt, a bad reputation, diseases, bad habits or even generational curses!
The good news for those who have accepted Christ is that He is a Good Father who gives His children a good inheritance! And this is far more powerful and precious than anything our earthly parents could pass down!
Today’s scripture tells us that if we belong to Christ, we are legally recognized descendants of Abraham and are heirs to all God’s promises 🎉. Practically, this means that we have all we need to fulfill our God-given destinies on earth and in eternity!
Do you sometimes feel as though you are not blessed? Begin to locate the promises of God from the Bible to you - His precious child. Read them, personalize them, pray them, believe them, and begin to walk in your true, God-given identity.
You can start by praying this promise God gave to our father, Abraham, in Genesis 12:2-3: The LORD will make me a great nation; He will bless me and make my name great, and I shall be a blessing. He will bless those who bless me, and He will curse those who curse me; And in me, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Amen!
• Search for more promises of God in the Bible
• Recognize that they are your inheritance
• Pray them over your life
• Ask Holy Spirit for wisdom and grace to do your part (i.e. obeying God), in order to live fully in your inheritance.
The Mystery Of The Holy Communion
Scripture Readings: John 6:48-58, Mark 14:22-24
Memory Verse: John 6:56
In the beginning, it was not so...
According to III John 2, The will of God for every believer is to enjoy divine health and to prosper in their soul, mind and spirit.
Our focus today is the finished works of our Lord Jesus Christ through His flesh and blood. One of God's provision for our wholeness is the COMMUNION. It is a divine ordinance from Jesus to us as believers to be done in His remembrance. The communion involves the breaking of bread which symbolizes His flesh, and wine which symbolizes His blood. This is a mystery given and to be embraced by every believer.
According to John 6:56, John 1:4-5 and Leviticus 17:11, whoever eats His flesh and drinks His blood lives in Jesus and He lives in them. For His flesh is a symbol of strength and vitality while His blood, a symbol of LIFE. The communion is a seal of protection and exemption from danger and decadence.
Every dead organ in your body today receive LIFE in Jesus’ name.
Jesus said "Take the communion in My remembrance". Apostle Paul made us understand in 1 Corinthians 11:24-26 that we are proclaiming the Lord's death. By the same revelation today, we are dead to any form of sickness, weakness and emotional imbalance in Jesus’ name.
The communion is not just a practice but a divine ordinance from the Lord to keep us fit, sound and in perfect peace for His use.
When this is done collectively as a church/fellowship/family/individuals with a heart of faith, every department of our lives, be it spiritual, physical, emotional and mental receives wholeness and wellness.
Go on and declare this over yourself and your loved ones.
Thank you Lord for the revelation of this mystery today.
I believe in your covenant ordinance of breaking of bread as your flesh and drinking of wine as your blood.
I receive the spirit of obedience to partake in this ordinance today.
I believe life is restored to my body, soul and spirit.
I receive strength in all my weaknesses.
I receive total healing and soundness in my mind.
Cancer of any form, Diabetes, Migraine, Corona Virus, name it.....
is destroyed today by His blood.
Jesus lives in me, therefore sickness and depression have no place in me.
I'm totally healed and whole again.
Interceding For The Faithful
Scripture Reading: James 5:13-18
Memory Verse: James 5:16
Last week we learned that the God we serve still heals His people, and that it is our duty to pray to access this healing that Jesus has already provided for us.
In today’s reading, we learn of an additional clause/phrase in our practice of praying for healing - we learn that we should seek support from our elders and brethren in Christ. Anybody who is sick should go to the elders for prayer, anybody who is burdened can confess to another, agree in faith and pray for healing. Praise God!
Many times, the burden of our illnesses are too much to bear. We may be afflicted with recurring illness, terminal illness, mental illness and emotional illness (anything that constantly breaks down stability). We need to pray for healing from all these because we know they all spring up from spiritual affliction!
Alone we may not fully understand the root of these things and then run the risk of praying amiss. But our God is merciful, He has prepared elders before us and strengthened our brothers and sisters among us to intercede.
If anybody is sick, they should seek an elder who will pray and anoint them with oil. They should confess to one another their sins and pray for healing. When we are in the midst of intercessors, our faith is increased and God works exponentially great wonders in record time. Yes, the Bible says that one will chase a thousand and two, ten thousand (Deuteronomy 32:30a). Just imagine how much more God can use all of us in SOR for your sake! So don’t be shy, and definitely don’t be ashamed of opening up here, God is with us, God is fighting for you! ❤️
We are currently collecting prayer requests in this period for our 24-hour prayer line this month. You can send in your requests.
From now on, also make yourself available to join others in prayer, it is God’s will.
Healing In His Wings
Scripture Reading: Malachi 4:1-3
Memory Verse: Malachi 4:2; Luke 5:17
Now, more than ever, the world needs the healing of Heaven. Sickness and brokenness are rampant in today’s world, and can sometimes feel like just another part of life. But do you believe that it is not the will of God for us to be sick? It is God’s will for each of us to be whole!
There was never a time in the Bible that Jesus came into contact with the sick or afflicted and did not heal them! Whether it was Peter’s mother-in-law who had a fever (Luke 4:38-39) or the man by the pool of Bethesda with a 38-year-old disease (John 5:1-9), Jesus healed them all.
Our scripture and memory verses are encouraging because they give us assurance that God is still in the business of healing. Because we trust in His name, and because we fear the Lord, we have a promise to hold on to! Malachi 4:2 assures us that we have healing through Christ, and that our portion is to live full, purposeful, victorious lives!
Because we are those that fear the name of the LORD, in the midst of chaos we can have peace. In the midst of an economic recession, we can have wealth. In the midst of a global pandemic, we can have healing and health!
It is our duty to pray that indeed the healing power of Jesus will come upon us and the nations! We must continue to pray that the LORD will be glorified in all the earth.
Father, we thank you for the assurances and promises of Your word. Thank You that You love me and that Your eyes are ever upon me. I pray, in the name of Jesus, that You arise with healing in Your wings. I pray, O LORD, that Your healing streams will fill the nations and my life, in Jesus’ name. Lord Jesus, let Your perfect will be done, in Your name I pray. Amen!
